Try Adding These Fitness Hacks To Your Daily Routine!


There are life hacks for basically anything you can encounter in your daily routine. These hacks are simple things you can do to make life easier while still accomplishing the final goal. In the same vein, there are plenty of easy-to-do fitness hacks that will make staying in shape so much easier. Staying fit does not have to be difficult. And once you get the hang of it, some people even consider it fun!


Matthew McConaughey's Fitness Advice

There was a time not too long ago when Matthew McConaughey was only really making romantic comedies and was constantly photographed by the press with his shirt off as he worked out. And who can blame him? He was in great shape! 


When someone asked him how he stays in shape while maintaining his busy filming and PR schedule, he offered some advice. His fitness advice was very simple, yet effective. Every day, take the time to work up a sweat doing something active. That’s it. Just exert enough effort every day doing SOMETHING that will make him sweat. In the process, you are burning away fat and increasing your cardio. It might be a run around the block or even just helping your buddy move a few items. Doesn’t matter. Just make certain you are working hard enough to break a sweat every day of the week. 


Carry Around a Gallon of Water

Make drinking a gallon of water your goal every 24 hours. Not only does water flush out all of those bothersome toxins and cleanses the body, but it will improve the look of your skin, increase your metabolism, and keep you feeling full longer. Staying hydrated will also make you feel less tired, and decrease your rate of fatigue while working out. Plus, this will enable you to stay away from other drinks that are loaded with sugar and calories as well.

If you don't want to physically carry around a gallon, measure exactly how many ounces your chosen water bottle holds and do the math to see how many of those bottles equals a gallon. 1 gallon is 128 ounces of water, so if your cup is 20 ounces, shoot for at least 6 fill ups during your day! 


Find a Handful of Different Training Partners

We all get too complacent with our workouts and tend to do the same ones over and over again. It’s best to confuse your muscles and change up the way you train to get the best results possible. To accomplish this in an easy fashion, find four different training partners that attack working out in completely differing ways. Let them lead you through the workouts that they do and it will offer you enough variety that your level of fitness should grow considerably. You may be sore every now and then from these workouts and that is a good thing. It means your muscles are being trained in ways that they aren’t used to.

This could be your meathead friend who loves lifting heavy, a running buddy, tennis partner, Crossfit pal, the yogi down the street, or any other training partner that will push you through a new workout!


Train Before Bed

Your body burns calories even while sleeping. But if you really want to ramp up the amount it can burn, do your workouts before you go to bed. For the next few hours, your body will burn even more calories than usual while you sleep away tucked underneath the covers. This is called the“afterburn effect” by those in the fitness world. And since you won’t be eating anything as you slumber away, the results should be quite measurable after a while.


Muscles Are Made in the Kitchen As Well

If you are doing strength training, you will gain some muscle mass and become stronger in the process. However, if you want to amp up your results, eat protein throughout the day. When addingstrength training to an increase in the protein you are consuming daily, the outcome will be much greater than just weightlifting alone.
